Mamata General Hospital

The Mamata Educational Society has constructed spacious buildings with built-up area 315000.00 sq ft for the Mamata General Hospital. The total cost of the hospital building was Rs. 114.0 million and the cost of equipments and furniture is Rs. 150.00 million. The Mamata General Hospital provides all the facilities that are required for the primary to tertiary health care facilities.

The Mamata General Hospital  was established in the year 1996 with 300 beds and  has been upgraded to 840 beds in the process of transforming it is the teaching hospital of Mamata  Medical College. Separate out patient block and in patient  blocks are constructed for the patients.

Out Patient Department: all the departments like General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, O. B. G.,  Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, E. N. T., T. B. C. D., Dermatology, Psychiatry have their O. P. D. facilities with separate male and female examination rooms. Student demonstration rooms are provided adjacent to every O. P. D. for clinical  demonstrations.

The department  of Radio – Diagnosis has got M. R. I., CT Scan, 500 MA X-ray with I. I. T. V., 3no’s 300 M. A. X-rays, 60MA 6 Nos X-ray 3 Nos ultra Sound Machines, a color Doppler  and mammogram.

The Central  Lab in the OPD is well equipped with the departments of Pathology, Biochemistry and Microbiology. Every day around 1000 out patients turn up to the O. P. D from surroundings areas.

Inpatient Wards: All the inpatient wards are spaciously designed with the teaching beds to the students. Clinical demonstration rooms, treatment rooms, Duty Doctors and Nurses rooms  are provided in each ward. All the beds in the hospital are  free beds. All the inpatients are being given free food two times in a day from last 6 years.

The are 12 A/C operation theaters in the hospital with latest equipment. Life saving equipments like ventilators, central oxygen and suction supply, Defibrillators, Capnography,   infusion and syringe pumps are at place in every O. T.

The causality  is centrally air conditioned with 20beds providing round the clock emergency services. Equipment like ventilators, defibrillator, pulse oxymeters, cardiac monitors, emergency traully, crash cart are provided.

Ancillary services like Blood bank, C. S. S. D., Laundry, Incenerator , 3 Pharmacy stores, Mechanised laundry ,  Post operative wards and Medical records department are available in the hospital.

Two fully loaded Ambulances are available to the patients round the clock
